CV Compiler is a robot that fixes your tech resume to make you more competitive. The app essentially checks your resume and tells you what to fix and where to submit it.
My role was to lead the design process from ground up, from idea to working product, shape the product vision, and ideate core features to deliver an exceptional user experience and design quality.

We worked in a lean-startup format. Without direct access to users, we conducted secondary research that focused mainly on competitor analysis and understanding the target audience. After developing a user persona and completing a comparative competitor review, the founder and I held a brainstorming session and defined the core objectives.

Visual Identity
The visual language draws inspiration from vintage computer interfaces, pairing a monospaced typeface reminiscent of code editors with touches of contemporary brutalism. This creates a blend that feels both nostalgic and distinctly modern and tech-forward. The combination of these elements results in a unique visual identity that’s hard to confuse with anything else, while still feeling familiar and intuitive to the target audience.
Landing Page
The landing page is built around simple, minimalistic sections that still create a strong visual impact thanks to thoughtful styling, illustrations, and transition animations. Each section delivers a clear, straightforward message that builds user trust, while social proof reinforces that trust even further. The narrative flows naturally toward the primary call to action – uploading a résumé.
Cards Interface
A card-based browsing system was created for navigating recommendations, where each check is presented as its own card. The user reviews them one by one – by swiping with the mouse, scrolling with keyboard arrows, or clicking on the on-screen controls. As they go through the suggestions, they can cross out the ones they’ve already addressed, making it easy to keep track of what’s left to improve.
The rating system allows users to quickly assess the overall state of their résumé and adds extra value to the review process: it not only suggests improvements but also reflects the document’s overall quality. After making the recommended changes, users can re-upload their file to see how much their résumé has improved.
